The mounting system was optimized for an easier installation, especially the splice, two rails could be connected easily without any fastener, that saves the labor time and material cost.
A watertight seal has been formed when the rubber on the self-tapping screw creates a visible ring around the screw head. Also butyl adhesive provides watertight seal underneath the base clamp assembly.
